The Pink Tie Club has been proud to support and fundraise for a wide range of charities and organisation since it began. Charities that are supported by the Pink Tie Club are usually selected annually by the incoming Chairman for that year and often are organisations and causes that are close to their hearts or those of their families and friends.
Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a charity that aims to rebuild the confidence of young people recovering from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illness.
Treatment can be excruciatingly lonely with long periods in isolation away from friends, family and school, in some cases, coupled with permanent disabilities.
Sailing allows them to step outside of their illness in an inspiring and safe environment with others who share the same worries, have undergone similar treatments and had their confidence stripped away. It gives them the independence back that hospital took away and helps them to rediscover their future.
Mind
We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Our local Minds support over 375,000 people across England and Wales. Their services include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending. Find out if there is one where you live.
Over more than 60 years Mind has worked to improve the lives of all people with experience of mental health problems. Through public campaigns, government lobbying and more than 1,000 services our local Minds have delivered in communities across England and Wales, we have touched millions of lives.
Sparks
Sparks supports clinicians and scientists who have the skills, innovation and passion to improve children's lives forever. Since 1991, we have funded more than 285 ground-breaking research projects in over 90 hospitals, universities and research institutions across the UK and overseas.
Each new project is carefully reviewed by both medical professionals and a panel of parents. This ensures that we are funding high quality science as well as investing in those projects most likely to have a benefit for children and families across the UK and beyond. Every child matters - that's why we support research into any medical condition affecting children's health, from rare diseases to the most common illnesses
Dennis Wise & Frankham Group Charitable Trust
Dennis Wise & Frankham Group Charitable Trust was founded through a passion of helping others and improving lives by Ex Chelsea FC Captain Dennis Wise and Steve Frankham, Chairman of Frankham Consultancy Group.
The Trust was set up to help raise money for children and adults with disabilities, and to provide financial support for education and transport facilities for those who have a special need of such facilities.
Since inception it has gone from strength to strength, and this year will exceed �1million pound raised. The unique thing with this Trust is that every penny received goes to the people the Trust was set up to help.
